Before you turn to medications to cure hemorrhoids, here are some simple things to try right now.
1/ Get some fiber.
How to treat hemorrhoids? Start by curing yourself from the inside by adopting a high-fiber diet capable of reducing bleeding and pain caused by hemorrhoids.
Fill your plate with fiber-rich fruits and vegetables, brown rice, whole grains and nuts to relieve hemorrhoids. Drinking a lot of water can also prevent constipation.
2/ Take a bag of tea.
External hemorrhoids can be soothed by the application of a hot and moist tea bag. The tannic acid contained in the tea will help reduce swelling, relieve pain and stimulate blood clotting to stop the bleeding.
3/ Attention to the seated position
If you work in an office, walk five minutes at least once every hour to relieve the rectal pressure that causes hemorrhoids. At the gym, avoid stationary bikes and squats, both of which can exert the same pressure. Instead, try walking fast for 20 to 30 minutes to stimulate intestinal function.
4/ Soak in hot water.
Hot water increases blood flow, helping to reduce vein swelling. To reap the benefits, fill the tub or seat bath – a device that fits over the toilet – with 10 to 12 cm (4 to 5 in.) of water. Take a seat in the water by lifting your knees to get a maximum exposure of the affected area.
For better constricting hemorrhoids, melt a handful of Epsom salts in the bathtub before you start soaking.
5/ Put them in the cooler.
Hemorrhoids cause blood vessels to swell, but the cold can cause them to swell and give them a major relief. Fill a bag of ice and wrap it in a fine fabric. Then, to relieve hemorrhoids, sit on it for about 20 minutes. Repeat as needed, but wait at least ten minutes between each application.
6/ Clean them well.
If you can, replace your daily shower with a bath so you can soak the area in hot water. Do not use soap or alcohol-based or scented wipes, which may aggravate hemorrhoids (do not worry, a hot dip will be enough to clean you).
Once out of the bathtub, use a hairdryer to gently dry the area.
7/ Lie down!
How to treat hemorrhoids without gels or creams? All you have to do is to relieve your weight of the sore anus by lying on a couch, legs in the air, for half an hour.
You’ll also stimulate blood circulation in your buttocks, which will even better relieve your hemorrhoids.
8/ Use a simple toilet paper.
Scented and colored sanitary papers contain chemicals that can irritate sensitive areas. Moisten Regular, white, unscented toilet paper or use a wet wipe when you need to wipe this area. Then apply an unscented moisturizer with a paper handkerchief.
9/ Put some Vaseline.
To get quick relief from your hemorrhoids, apply a little Vaseline to the painful area.
10/ Go to the little corner as often as possible.
Keeping you from going to the bathroom can cause constipation and therefore require you to force more when you go there. The pressure thus exerted could cause the formation of hemorrhoids. Before you have to find ways to cure hemorrhoids, avoid having them by going to the bathroom as soon as you need them.
