Cancer and obesity: a link of cause and effect of the order of 40 percent among Americans with cancer!

In the United States, 71% of adults suffer from a weight problem! Control and Americans (CDC) disease prevention centers are the sounding alarm: this excess weight present in the vast majority of the American population would be responsible for nearly 40% of cancers reported in the U.S. State!

40% is the equivalent of some 630,000 people! The CDC even raised this figure to more than 55% of American women compared to only 24% for men. Overweight would encourage the development of thirteen different cancers: cancer of the esophagus, kidney, uterus, ovaries, colon, thyroid, stomach, gallbladder, breast, liver, pancreatic and finally the rectum!

The vast majority of those involved are aged 50 to 74 years, cancer screening would therefore focus on these people, whose weight exceeds a standard body mass index (BMI). BMI consists of different milestones and based on different variables that are the size and weight, it describes the size of a person. Above 25, the person may be considered as overweight.

However, according studies by the CDC, 32.8% of the American population is overweight. And even worse: 37.9% of American adults would have a BMI of over 30, and would be considered obese.

Between 2005 and 2014, the cancer rate has increased by 7%. Cancer prevention is therefore directly involved in the lifestyle of the people and is based on simple fact: a healthy diet and regular physical activity. Integrate these rules in our life would decrease the risk of overweight and as a result, the chances of developing cancer.
